The dissemination work of universities and technological institutes that constitute the CRUSOE network does not stop during the year and offer various scientific and cultural training initiatives, with the permanent commitment of innovation, renovation and generate knowledge inquisitiveness. The offer is wide and covers general interest topics such as health, environment, literature, education, history, arts, languages ​​or new technologies. These courses are aimed at students, professors, professionals of the field, and in general, to anyone with the concern to continue learning.

WORKSHOPS  OF CULTURE, WITH A VARIED OFFER OF DANCE, PHOTOGRAPHY AND THEATER

 

The cultural offer of the University of A Coruña starts in January with the enrollment in the culture workshops, which offer courses on initiation to contemporary dance, creative photography, initiation to theater, costume design for performing arts and literary creation. All of them will take place at the University Cultural Centre, Esteiro campus, in Ferrol.

In the other hand, at the Riazor campus , A Coruña, various photography, radio, experimental music, video creation, artistic painting or furniture restoration workshops will be held.

CULTURE AND LANGUAGE LEARNING FOR THE UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY AND GENERAL PUBLIC
 

A new edition of the free language courses will start in February promoted by the Department of Languages ​​and Cultures of the University of Aveiro (DLC-UA), through its ForLínguas office. German, Spanish, French, English, Italian, Japanese, and Russian are the languages ​​that could be learned in the second semester of the course, from February 17 to June 9. The teaching of sign language, entry-level, and English for specific purposes (preparation for the Academic I and IELTS exam) will be proposed as well.

These courses are designed for UA students, teachers and staff, but also the community in general, The courses are held at the end of the working day in order to make the schedules compatible.

SCIENCE AND CULTURE THROUGH THE BIAL FOUNDATION AND ITS RESEARCH ABOUT THE HUMAN BEING

The Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Beira Interior (FCS-UBI) receives the traveling exhibition "BIAL Foundation - 25 years", where the work of this organization for the study and scientific research of the human being is shown, as well as the evolution of medical and scientific research, not only in Portugal but also in the rest of the world. At the end of 2020, the exhibition will cover several places from the north to the south of the country, including all the universities with medical degrees, as well as some European and North American institutions.

CULTURAL ACTIVITIES AND A REFERENCE FORUM FOR THE CUTTING EDGE THEATER “FESTIVAL ESCENA ABIERTA”

Throughout the course, the University of Burgos offers many university extension activities related to culture: photography and design competitions, music, dance, cinema and documentaries, art exhibitions, as well as theater shows and cycles. During January, the “XXI Festival Escena Abierta 2020” takes place, a benchmark forum for the stage avant-garde in our country, where the participating companies offer new ways of perceiving reality, innovating theatrical production and the creative process.

CULTURAL PROJECTS AND SPORTS-RELATED INITIATIVES FOR STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES

In addition to various cultural projects, the University of Coimbra carries out other initiatives related to sports, such as EMPATIA, a program to promote the well-being of pre-university student-athletes. EMPATIA is funded by Erasmus +, a European program that supports education, training, youth and sport, and aims to contribute to improving the well-being of pre-university students involved in elite sport, proposing an educational program for parents and guardians of these athletes.

Cultural promotion is one of the lines of action of the University of Santiago de Compostela to support the implementation of cultural activities and creative projects. At the same time, the University launches courses aimed at acquiring and expanding knowledge in different artistic disciplines such as theater, photography, dance, music, as well as a specific program of "Cultural Astronomy". MUSICAL APPOINTMENTS OF INTERNATIONAL PRESTIGE AND PROMOTION OF THE ARTS THROUGH THE FOUNDATION AND THE MUSEUM

Throughout the course, the University of Valladolid organizes several cultural events that have achieved great prestige, such as the International Jazz Festival, "Universijazz". The University of Vigo aims to promote the creation of collaboration networks and strengthen the cultural fabric, through a plural programming that includes a multiplicity of artistic expressions for the university community and society. The institution organizes awards for artistic creation in the modalities of painting, photography, music models and audiovisual creation, in the categories of narrative, documentary, video advertising, animation, and experimental video.

CULTURAL ACTIVITIES AND PROMOTION OF SOCIAL ACTIONS, VOLUNTEERING AND COOPERATION PROJECTS

The university extension service of the Catholic University of Ávila offers and coordinates complementary university activities for academic-teachers and researchers, especially in the cultural field. Among other services, it promotes cultural activities, social actions or volunteering and cooperation projects with South America.

COMPLEMENTARY TRAINING COURSES AND SPECIALIZATION CONFERENCES ON TOPICS OF SOCIAL AND CULTURAL INTEREST

 

This University has an Institutional and Cultural Projection Service that is in charge of coordinating and managing the different university extension activities organized by the UEMC in collaboration or not with other institutions: complementary training courses, summer courses, specialization conferences and UEMCtalk. This is intended to complete the academic training of students and connect with areas and topics of interest to society.

This year, the Pontifical University offers face-to-face, blended and on line courses. Related to “Discover computing”, the university offers virtualization and videogame creation workshops. It also prepares a workshop on "The usefulness of Restorative Practices applied to various areas", as well as a blended course on "Mediation in the area of ​​neighboring communities", and another on "Mediation in the school and educational environment". People can also access to "The city of emotions", an interactive online course to understand, assess, develop, and apply emotional intelligence.

ART, HUMANITIES, ECONOMICS AND SCIENTIFIC DISSEMINATION AT THE NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL LEVEL

Throughout the course, this academic institution organizes conferences, seminars and activities related to art, humanities, economics and scientific dissemination at national and international levels. Among the latest activities carried out, the participation of IE University in the United Nations Conference on Climate Change stands out, with a panel named “El papel de las universidades en la implementación de la Agenda 2030”. ("The role of universities in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda").
A series of videos by the artist Will Benedict were also projected on the façade of the Madrid campus, within the initiative “Education for Sustainability”.
This project reflects the commitment to education as the driving force for change in the economy, society and the biosphere within the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

OPEN CULTURAL SPACE AND SPONSORSHIP OF RELEVANT FILM OR MUSIC PROJECTS

UTAD's mission in the field of Arts and Culture is to make the campus an open, eminently cultural space that fosters academic, civic, and democratic practices. In addition to an agenda of regular events, the University supports relevant projects carried out in the community (exhibitions, film series, concerts), providing them visibility through its sponsorship.
The Mission for Arts and Culture Group, created in 2013, is the source of activity dynamization, often coordinated with local, regional and national entities.

Other upcoming events for this course include the XII Conference on Genetics and Biotechnology, aimed at the exchange of scientific knowledge, or the VII International Congress on Viticulture, which will allow the dissemination and updating of scientific and technical innovations in viticulture and enology in the mountain regions.

CULTURAL DISSEMINATION INITIATIVES, CONSERVATION OF HERITAGE AND PARTICIPATION IN SOCIO-EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES

The Institute opens its doors to the external community, actively collaborating in the cultural dynamics of the cities where it is established, with initiatives and centers such as the Helena Sá e Costa Theater, located at ESMAE, which has been running for more than 12 years and weekly schedule of activities, or the ISEP Museum, where you can see and study some of the best pieces of heritage from the Polytechnic Academy. Also noteworthy are the Porto Polytechnic Socio-educational Workshops, and the participation in socio-educational activities of the city in schools and associations.

PROMOTION OF ARTISTIC AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES WITH A PROGRAM TO STIMULATE CONTACT WITH ART

The Cultural Workshop of the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo was created to promote the development of artistic and cultural activities at IPVC, as well as art education, not only for IPVC students but also for the children and youth of the region.
The IPVC Cultural Office has developed in recent years a comprehensive program that aims to stimulate contact with art, providing the internal and external IPVC community with access to the works of some of the most important portuguese plastic artists.

CAPTATION SERVICES, CULTURAL SUPPORT AND APPLIED RESEARCH FOR THE REGION'S ENVIRONMENT

The Polytechnic Institute of Bragança is committed to increasing the relationship with the external community, through the provision of training services, technical and cultural support, and the development of applied research, experimental development and consulting services of interest to the business environment of region and country. Among other services, it provides information of interest on products and services, technical training and technological offer, as well as a service to search for qualified personnel (employment exchange).

Among the activities offered soon is, for example, a course for the acquisition of basic skills in the area of ​​Occupational Health and Safety that allow the performance of functions of prevention and protection against professional risks.

PROMOTION OF MUSICAL, SPORTS AND CULTURAL GROUPS FOR THE WHOLE ACADEMIC COMMUNITY

One of the objectives of the Politecnico do Cábado e do Ave is the promotion of academic groups at a musical, sports and cultural level. These services seek to promote and stimulate recreational extracurricular activities throughout the academic community. The Institute organizes cultural events such as exhibitions, debates, training workshops and other activities in order to arouse interest in cultural initiatives. Currently, the IPCA has music groups from Tunas, Fado and an academic choir, and its project is to collaborate in the creation of new theater and photography groups, among others.
